What is the procedure for booking a part time helper service?
- After completing the payment, you will receive a confirmation email. Meanwhile, we will start the matching process to find a cleaner for you. Upon successful matching, you will receive a booking success confirmation email. If no matching can be made, you will receive an email stating your unsuccessful application, while the authorized payment will be refunded to your account.
Can I cancel or modify the booking after purchasing the part time helper service?
- Yes, you can, but the following cancellation policy applies:
- Cancellation - You need to cancel at least one business day before the service usage time. You will be charged a $100 administrative fee for cancellation, and the remaining balance of the service will be refunded within 7-14 business days. If you cancel on the day of the service, no refund will be given. We suggest you continue to let the service personnel serve you.
Changes - We only accept changes made at least one business day before the service usage time, and a $50 administrative fee will be charged for each change in service. If you request changes on the day of the service, your request will not be accepted. We suggest you continue to let the service personnel serve you.
If we are unable to successfully match a service personnel, and you request to change before the service usage time, you can change the service date and time for free.
Do I need to purchase insurance for the part-time helpers?
- HelloToby has purchased a basic insurance plan for home service personnel. But since we are a platform matching jobs for service providers, we recommend you to purchase the insurance for pros according to the Employees' Compensation Ordinance.
Is there an additional charge for hiring a part time helper on Saturdays and Sundays?
- We will only charge a peak period fee under the following circumstances:
- - If you need to book services on Sundays, there will be a special time period charge of HK$5 per hour.
- - If you require services outside the hours of 9 am to 6 pm, there will be a peak period charge of HK$20 per hour.
- - Additional charges may apply on public holidays or during the New Year period. The actual charges will be based on the prices listed on hellotoby.com.
Any expiry date for part time helper service package?
- After purchasing the service, all service should be used before the expiry date, otherwise they will be considered forfeit.
1-time：within one month - 3-time：within 3 month
- 6-time: within 4 months
- 12-time：within 6 month
- 24-time：within 12 month
Will the part time cleaners bring their own cleaning supplies?
- We strongly recommend to purchase and provide cleaning supplies. Or else you will be responsible for paying back the purchases made by our housekeeping assistant, and an additional hour will be enforced on top of the total cleaning time in order to compensate for the time spent purchasing the supplies.

Tools: Water bucket, towels, rags, brooms, mops, stainless steel scrubber, blade scrapers, glass scrapers, sponges
Reminder before part time cleaners comes:
- Please kindly pay attention to the door bell or phone's notification to ensure that you can open the door for our service providers. If customers failed to open the door on time, our service providers will wait nearby for 45mins. If customers still failed to open the door for the service, the service providers have the right the leave and terminate the services. If customers arrived, the service providers will continue serve for you according to the original time slots. No refund or rescheduling would be accepted for the above situations. For any service modification, please kindly contact us at 3703 3250 in at least 1 business day (within office hours) before the service.

Do I have to purchase Workers' Compensation Insurance for the part-time helper?
According to Section 40 of the Employees' Compensation Ordinance, all employers (including contractors and sub-contractors) are required to take out insurance policies to cover their liabilities both under the Ordinance and at common law for injuries at work in respect of all their employees, irrespective of the length of employment contract or working hours, full-time or part-time, permanent job or temporary employment. An employer who fails to comply with the Ordinance to secure an insurance cover commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a maximum fine of HK$100,000 and imprisonment for two years.
Is there any additional or hidden cost charged by the part-time helper service?
If you asked for temporary care for critically ill patients, the housekeeper will charge you an extra 10% to 15% on top of basic rates per day. If the employer lives in a remote area, the fees will be slightly higher. In addition, near festivals, such as the Spring Festival, Mid-Autumn festival, the service fees for housekeeper are usually raised. The most common additional cost will be the compensation insurance for local housekeepers that are required to be purchased by the employer. If you need to hire pat time helper on Sundays, there will be a special time period charge of HK$5 per hour.
