Attitude Change During the Pandemic
While many businesses are confronted with adversity during the pandemic, Sam’s moving company is lucky not to be hugely affected but his workload has significantly increased due to the extra preparations and necessary preventive measurements. He shared, “Working with a face mask on is physically tiring and I have to replace the mask when it becomes totally wet.” Sam also reminds his staff to always wear a face mask while working because it is the best way to safeguard the health of themselves, their families, and clients. He expressed, “Our goal is to work hard, do our best and be sincere to every customer.”
During the early stages of the pandemic, there was a shortage of personal hygiene supplies and Sam had to source supplies for his staff. In addition, Sam has young children, and his family is worried that he might become infected on the job, so he has to spray himself with rubbing alcohol whenever he comes home and his laundry has to be washed separately.
Constant Communication & Building Trust with Clients
Sam always does his best to follow all preventive measures but there was one time when an unpleasant incident happened——he was ambushed by showers of rubbing alcohol at a client’s and some of it got into his eyes. Luckily, his eyes were fine but the experience made him recognize the importance of communicating with his clients and gaining their confidence so that everything can go more smoothly during work.
