陳約翰5歲開始學習小提琴，8歲隨香港管弦樂團前首席魏豪洲老師習小提琴。 18歲考獲英國倫敦聖三一學院 (TRINITY COLLEGE LONDON) 六級專業音樂演奏文憑(LTCL) 優等榮譽（DISTINCTION）。 亦曾獲台北東吳大學音樂學系及美國加洲浸會大學音樂系頒發獎學金。 曾於台北榮星弦樂團擔任小提琴助教 豐富演奏經驗，參與不同管弦樂團演出，包括香港學士管弦樂團，香港節慶管弦樂團，於各大文化中心和音樂廳演出。曾於香港青少年管弦樂團高級組樂團擔任第二小提琴首席 豐富教學經驗，按學生實際須要調節編排，因材施教 I was born and raised in Hong Kong, I started taking violin lessons at the age of five, taking violin lessons with former concertmaster of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra Ngai Ho-Chau at the age of eight. At the age of eighteen, I obtained my Trinity London College LTCL Diploma with Distinction. On completing secondary school, I studied violin with violin maestro Hwang Wei-Ming at Taiwan SooChow University. I received a scholarship to study violin at the Taiwan SooChow University and California Baptist University. I am active as a violin player in solo, chamber music and orchestra.
