1）Nasal Swab

Suitable for infants and young children, a nasal swab involves collecting fluid and discharge from 1 to 2 cm inside the nostril to minimize discomfort. Nasal swab alone has an accuracy rate of 70 to 80% but if it is combined with a throat swab, the accuracy rate can reach close to 100%.

2）Throat Swab

【Sample Collection Process】

1）Nasal Swab

You need to tilt your head 30° upward and allow the nurse to insert a swab 1 to 2 cm into your nostril and swab in a circular path for 10 to 15 seconds. Afterwards, the nurse will perform a throat swab, which will only take 1 minute.

2）Throat Swab

You need to tilt your head slightly upward and open your mouth while the nurse takes a sample close to the tonsils by swabbing 3 times. The sample will be placed in the same bottle as the nasal swab.
